October 2016

Nicholas' Homecoming group
Scott, Taylor, Nicholas, Anya, Jenna, Braden, Ashley, Andie

First, fondue at Taylor's house, then the dance.

Nicholas wanted a pink tie for this dance and so Gramma got him one.

Oct 4 - Nicholas passed his Board of Review!! He is now an official EAGLE SCOUT!!

The committee gave him this Eagle, and once we get in the car, he shows how he truly feels!!

I dropped off Gabe (age 4) and Ellen at the train station, which they took to Seattle to visit Sara.
Both were very excited!

Gramma sent me proof that Gabe is enjoying his first train ride.

They had a fun weekend with Hazel, Sara and Tom.
Who doesn't love popcorn in their jammies with Gramma?!

It was a good weekend for Gabe to go to Seattle because I went on an overnighter with the Young Women to the beach.
Hug Point State Park in Seaside.
Emma, Jessica, McKenzie, Lydia, Audrey, Miriam, Rebecca, Nicole, Elise, Kali
Maggie, Rosie, Kayla, Nora, and Dina.

As typical girls, they were all taking selfies at the beach,
so Terri and I actually took this picture to mock them, but it turned out cute!

Our YW presidency: me, Terri Nissinen, April Merrill, Kimberly Noel

We had an evening of watching The Princess Bride, and doing hair and makeup
and how many girls can brush their teeth at once?

Lunch on our way home at Camp 18.

So we discovered a "FaceSwap" app and had a little fun with it -
David and Zach swapped faces (they look a lot alike so it wasn't too strange)

Gabe and Brooke FaceSwap

Zach and me swapped too.
Creepy!

Back to OMSI on a no school day
Gabe, Ji-uk, and David

Brooke at OMSI

We've heard about Fright Town and decided to give it a try.
Kate, Mike, Nicholas

It was actually a pretty good haunted house!
Joe, Rosie, Terri, Aaron, me, Mike, Nicholas with a creepy guy behind us.

David gets glasses!!
We love our optometrist/stake president, Brad Richardson.
David told me he feels he looks smarter now and wants to wear more collared shirts to school to complete the look.

Gabe was invited to a preschool Halloween party at the Crocketts.
He really liked the donut on a string game.

My parents came to visit and it was semi-dry so we went to the pumpkin patch/corn maze.
Gabe, David, and Brooke

with Papa

Papa's "farm boy" coming out when he demonstrates that you can eat corn right off the stalk!

bedtime stories

Nanee and Brooke FaceSwap!

Gabe loves to play War!

Zach is quite the regular at the orthodontist.

Zach's handsome football picture.
A friend gave me this "Football Mom" hat that I wear to all the games.
