Even though Zach didn't turn 8 until June 10, we had his birthday party on June 3rd because that was the night before we left for The Big Trip. Grandma even graciously volunteered to have it at her house so it would be less stress for me. And even better, Mike had bought a "party planner" at the Girls Camp fundraiser! So I didn't have to do much of the planning either! Ashlee, a 12-year-old girl in our ward, sat down with Zach and planned the activities together and even did all the invitations.
